Nanyang Technological University, Singapore have deployed the Data-driven Robotic Balance Assistant (DRBA) to support seniors at risk of falls.

Falls are among the top causes of injury-related hospitalisations among older adults in Singapore. The DRBA rehabilitation robot combines robotics and real-time data analysis to personalise training, assist with sitting, standing and walking, and provide stability support if a potential fall is detected.

Community trials at Active Ageing Centres in Tampines have concluded, testing the system during group exercise sessions.

The technology is now being commercialised through Ability Robotics.
